I love this photo. It's actually a sea of candles, at the 20th Birthday Bash at Cornerstone Festival '03. The combination of b&w, and holding the canlde up to the lens with the macro on really worked nicely.

I came home today, to find The Heat Can Melt Your Brain, the new CD by Viva Voce waiting in my mailbox.

Yay! I'm digging it already, on the first listen. It's dreamy husband and wife indie pop, made on their home studio equipment. It's not as big as Fleming & John (another spiritually savvy husband and wife DYI band), but it has its own lo fi charm.

a photo blog entry for you. this is one of the "Jesus People" who run the cornerstone festival. at least I assume he's a JPUSA guy. Anyway, I'm not sure I saw him this year, but I've talked to him a number of times during past festivals. I like the homemade John 3:16 hat
