This is a good headline: ESPN.com - NFL - Wild, Wolves principals ready to buy Vikings

I don't trust Red McCombs. At least a Minnesota Vikings fan, I don't. Why should a car dealer from San Antonio do what's in the best interest of the team? He'll do what's in his best interest.

Glen Taylor on the other hand is the guy who not only made Kevin Garnett the highest paid NBAer, he also paid for Sam Cassell, Latrell Spreewell, and Michael Oliwakandi in addition to Wally Szerbiak and Troy Hudson. He supports his team. And would do so for the Vikings, one would hope.

Angel
You are one of the few out there whose wings are
truly ANGELIC. Selfless, powerful, and
divine, you are one blessed with a certain
cosmic grace. You are unequalled in
peacefulness, love, and beauty. As a Being of
Light your wings are massive and a soft white
or silver. Countless feathers grace them and
radiate the light within you for all the world
to see. You are a defender, protector, and
caretaker. Comforter of the weak and forgiver
of the wrong, chances are you are taken
advantage of once in awhile, maybe quite often.
But your innocence and wisdom sees the good in
everyone and so this mistreatment does not make
you colder. Merciful to the extreme, you will
try to help misguided souls find themselves and
peace. However not all Angelics allow
themselves to be gotten the better of - the
Seraphim for example will be driven to fighting
for the sake of Justice and protection of those
less powerful. Congratulations - and don't ever
change - the world needs more people like you.

if you've never listened to The "Mischke Broadcast" you owe it to yourself to do so. This site should have links for the real audio. m-f 10-12 central time. if you like minnesota humor (mst3k, lileks, let's bowl, etc) you'll dig it. if not, bear with it for a few days, and it's sure to grow on you.

This is what we call a snow news day.

When it snows, and you're a tv reporter in Nebraska, you do a snow story. Here are some of the ones I've seen...
shoveling hard on your heart
shoveling hard on your back
picking out the right shovel
picking out the right coat
protecting from frostbite
ridealong with the plow
to call / not to call school off
winter survival in your car
frozen pipes
fire threats (space heaters)
ridealong with the pizza delivery guy
follow the mailman on his route
snow removal budget
impact on the drought
sledding
sledding injuries
economic impact of snow
stores sold out of shovels
people rushing to the grocery store
livestock and the snow
farming and the snow
cities declaring snow emergencies
when / when not to plow
of course I forgot winter driving / accidents
ridealong with the tow truck

and on and on

my friends give me a hard time about having to do the "snow" story :)

Ok, so he missed two field goal attempts, butAdam Vinatieri got it doen again. The only reason I point this out is that we're alumni of the same college. :)
